We all have moments in life when things don’t go as planned. But, it’s not the end of the story. Meet Helen (Zarembo) Domina, a Ukrainian refugee and a woman who embodies resilience and determination. She’s a web design and UX business owner who’s not just rebuilding her life after losing everything in the war, but also inspiring others with her journey.

Helen’s love for design and technology started early on. After graduating from Ukrainian National Polytechnic University with a degree in printing technology, she quickly saw the shift towards digital products and dove headfirst into the world of web design and UX. Today, she helps businesses all over the world elevate their online presence and bring their digital product ideas to life.

What sets Helen apart is her brand values – transparency, straightforwardness, and kindness. She’s honest with everyone she works with and never shies away from telling it like it is, even if it means speaking up to the president of a multimillion-dollar business! At the same time, she builds her foundation on treating her contractors with kindness, creating a positive and supportive work environment for them.

Helen isn’t just a web design pro. She’s also a teacher, mentor, and beacon of hope for anyone who’s starting over. She shares her knowledge and experience with aspiring freelancers through her course on Upwork, which has helped over 350 students kickstart their freelancing careers.

Working with her is an experience of a rare level of candor and authenticity, which has earned her the trust of even the most discerning clients. Her transparent and straightforward approach ensures that clients are informed and involved throughout the process, from start to finish.

“I’m all about creating unique digital experiences that benefit users and bring revenue to businesses,” says Helen. “And, I want to do it in a way that does not mislead brands into spending huge amounts of money or working in a blind direction. That’s what makes my work fulfilling and fun.”

The work mostly highlights a well-knotted thread of informative, simple, and less ‘salesy’ approaches. She believes that if you have something valuable to say, people will listen. And she’s not wrong – it has earned her an enviable reputation in the industry and helped her to build lasting relationships with her clients.

“I want my work to be informative, simple, and keep it realistic,” says Helen. “I think that’s the best way to get people’s attention and keep it. I believe every job needs to bring a high value to its clients and community, and that’s something I strive to deliver with every article of mine.”

So, there you have it – A story of someone who turned her passion for design and technology into a thriving business, and a life of purpose. In a world where too many people are quick to give up, Helen’s story is a breath of fresh air! Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the impact one person can have on the lives of others!
